Katia von Benno Baumeister, formerly Katia von Eulenberg, is one of the main female deuteragonist in "Hachinan tte, Sore wa Nai Deshou!" She is from a noble from a knight family and a rogue-type veteran adventurer who specializes in subjugating large beasts such as Wyvern's. She is Wendelin von Benno Baumeister 6th wife.
Appearance
Katia is an attractive, youthful-looking girl whose height is no more than 155 cm. She has dark brown (close to black) hair with twin-tails that flow down to her knees.
Her attire and equipment is that of a typical adventurer: a white tank top, short pants which resemble denim fabric, boots that reinforce her defense, thin protective tekkou, a chest protector, and - for some reason - a headband which looks like it had been imported from the Mizuho Dukedom.
Her main weapons are the two narrow sabers on her back, with the scabbard straps crossed at the front of her body. In addition, ten small throwing blades are visible at the belt coiling around her waist.
Outside of adventuring, however, she tends to dress quite conservatively.
Personality
Due to being an experienced solo adventurer, Katia has a somewhat headstrong, independent personality. However, she's also very outgoing and can easily fit in with any group - this is especially important since she sometimes teams up with other adventurer parties during quests.
Much later, she shows a different and slightly more girlish side of her personality whenever she's with Wendelin and the other women in the harem.
Etymology
- Katia is Russian and means "Pure."
- Von is Dutch and means one of "Noble" birth.
- Eulenberg is a Jewish name of German ancestry and means "Olive Mountain."
Synopsis
Background
Katia was born as the only daughter and second child of the noble Eulenberg family, an impoverished family of hereditary knights and vassals of the Margraves of Breithilde who led humble lives as maroimo (a kind of sweet potato-like tuber crop) farmers. Despite being the feudal lords of their own small territory, they were often found working in the fields alongside the villagers. However, at some point Katia decided to turn her back on this simple rural lifestyle in order to become an adventurer, where she was taken under the wing of the famous adventurer/magician "Lisa the Blizzard".
Plot
She first met Wendelin's party during a joint wyvern subjugation quest in the Greater League Mountain Range area with the veteran adventurer party "Dragon Fighters".
Later, Wend and Arnest Blitz were exploring an ancient ruin when they discovered a tunnel going through the mountains connecting the Paul von Benno Baumeister territory with her family's territory. Her family did not want to take the responsibility of managing their side of the tunnel so they decided to swap land with Amadeus Freitak von Bleichröder , who is their patron. When she hears of this she rushes back and declares that she will find a husband and will take over the managing of the tunnel and due to this she throws a wrench into Wend's and Amadeus's plans. She then announces she will hold a Martial Art Tournament and whoever can defeat her will become her husband. Quite a few young nobles, including King Helmut's cousin, and commoners join the tournament looking to win her hand. None of the challengers were able to defeat her so King Helmut told Wendelin von Benno Baumeister to go teach her a lesson. After Wend defeated her the King told him to take responsibility and marry her.[1]
Her family is relocated to Wends territory to make way for the construction due to the tunnel.[1]
After their marriage she quickly takes to the married life and bonds with all his other wives.[2]
Her first child, Hilde von Benno Baumeister, is engaged to Armstrong's grandson.

Katia's fighting style is both economical and efficient, with an emphasis on speed. She has just enough mana to be able to use physical reinforcement as well as speed-boosting magic, which she combines with dual sword techniques, knife-throwing techniques, elaborate traps and ambush strategies in order to bring down her targets. Due to her experience in farming work, she also has excellent physical strength and stamina during battle.
She also possesses an extremely limited variation of『Flight』, which she uses for abruptly changing her direction while in midair or for decelerating her descent to avoid injury.
Katia can also use 『Speed Boost』to travel very long distances on foot in a short span of time..
Skills
She knows how to cook since she was an adventurer. Other than that she admits she isn't too smart.
Trivia
- Despite her young looks, Katia is actually older than Wendelin (though she's a year younger than Therese).[3]
- Katia is also a fast learner who appears to possess some latent form of the『Quick Leveling』passive ability. It is revealed during her mock battles with Erwin, Haruka, Iina and the others that she becomes stronger by quickly adapting/absorbing the combat styles of her more powerful opponents - techniques which usually take a lifetime to learn and master. This leads Erwin to note that Katia has a bottomless potential as a fighter.
